GreatWallOfSound
Multiband, z-ordered ducking array madness, or frequency-selective, priority-based ducking across multiple tracks, without routing them through a conventional bus.
GreatWallOfSound is a cross-track mixing system made of two plugins. Put GreatWallOfSound Send on each source that should participate and place one GreatWallOfSound Sum on a dedicated silent utility track. The Sum analyses where the sources collide; each Send applies the resulting ducking to its own latency-aligned audio. Your tracks, inserts, faders, and downstream routing remain separate.
The Sum grid divides up to eight sources into one to eight frequency bands, with independent control over the left and right sides. Give important material a higher priority wherever it needs to lead. Higher priorities duck lower priorities, equal priorities leave each other alone, and Priority 0 exempts a cell completely. Draggable crossover points let you concentrate the bands around the parts of the spectrum that need the most attention.
Ducking Groups can keep unrelated sources from competing. Gate Floor limits how much of each cell may be removed, while global and per-cell timing controls shape how the ducking moves. Per-band and Master Dry/Wet controls blend the correction, and row and column solos make it possible to inspect individual sources or frequency areas.
Live grid activity and Input, Duck, and Output meters show what the system is doing. Bypass returns every Send to its untouched signal, while Null outputs only the material being removed.
